BONDING |
Tooth bonding is a
procedure in which a tooth colored composite resin is applied to a tooth to correct such
defects as spacing, color variations, chipping, fractures, excessive wear or dental caries
(decay). The resin is hardened with a high intensity curing light, shaped and highly
polished to make it indistinguishable from natural tooth structure. In the patient
pictured, a space existed between his two upper front teeth, drawing attention to a slight
imperfection in an otherwise pleasing smile. The bonded addition blended in perfectly with
his own tooth color and texture to create for him an attractive, natural smile.
